Ursa - ATLA OC [Character Sheet]

Occupation: Owns and operates her own tea shop (was Uncle Iroh's). Member of the White Lotus

Abilities: Waterbending, Healing, Bloodbending
Strengths: Making tea. Healing.
Weaknesses: Can be a little jumpy at times. new moons.
Fears: Lord Zhu, poisons.
Personality: She will do what she can to help anyone and protect the weak. She tries to always hide her fears and will not show them if she can. She tends to think tea is the solution to any problem and will offer tea to anyone she can.
History: Ursa was the oldest child of Zuko and Kaiya, thus she was named after her Grandmother via Zuko's idea. At the time she was growing up the Fire Nation was kept in the dark that Kaiya was a waterbender so when they found out Ursa was just like her Mom they had to make sure she wouldn't bend in public. So Ursa only bent while in the palace or when she was in the Earth Kingdom when the family went to visit either her Aunt Toph (what she called her) or her Grandpa (great-uncle Iroh). She really enjoyed her time with her Grandpa and always asked to go see him, though she liked her time with Rien [Toph's son].

When Ursa was ten, she and Rien were playing alone in the palace and Lord Zhu [of the purple shadows] came and kidnapped them. He took them to the creator above the city and waited until the news got to Zuko and Kaiya he had them up there. When they got to the creator, Zhu took a poison and injected Ursa with it. He then threw her over the side of the creator. Zuko quickly jumped after her to try and keep her from rolling down it but he himself rolled down it as well. Kaiya managed to get Rien back from Lord Zhu in the meantime and some paramedics went and got Zuko and Ursa taking them to the palaces infirmary. When Kaiya got back to the infirmary with Rien, she found Zuko had a broken back but worse was the condition of Ursa. She was in pain. Rien went over to Ursa and took her hand and held it as she died from the poison which was given to her.

Princess Yue [the moon spirit], soon went to Rien and explained to him he can share his life with Ursa to bring her back. Rien called for Ursa in his head which made her spirit appear to him. He put a hand on her head and the other over her heart and concentrated hard to share his life. She was brought back to life and Rien explain the Moon spirit told him how and that now if she or he died, she would die too. This all happened after her funeral and Zuko and Kaiya (who first was surprised) decided she couldn't stay in the Fire Nation because the Nation knew she was killed and if they still see her there will be a lot of questions raised. It was decided she would move to Ba Sing Se with the Beifongs. While there she went to school with Rien and frequently went to her Grandfathers tea shop to help him.

However, living together with Rien proved to be a mistake. She soon got pregnant. Nine months later, right before she was going to give birth, Lord Zhu took Toph and Ursa from the house. Lord Zhu had strapped Ursa to a table (her on her stomach) and had whipped her with a fire whip until she passed out. Toph was tortured by Lord Zhu's brother Mufiko. Lord Zhu then took the two and dropped them off at the Northern Water Tribe wanting to freeze them to death. Some tribe members found them and took them to the healing hut where Ursa woke up and soon went into labor. The healers helped deliver the baby but it was weak and they didn't know if it would live. Toph told them Ursa's Mother came from the Northern Water Tribe so the healers took the baby to the spirit oasis. They used the spirit water to help the baby which in turned turned her hair white. They took the baby back to Ursa; it healthy now; and Ursa said she and Rien already talked about the name Yue due to her not being there without Princess Yue.

As she grew she and Rien got married and had more children. She continued to help her Grandfather in his tea shop and soon even joined the order of the White Lotus and took over the tea shop once he had passed. But with the destruction of Ba Sing Se and Song (The other town they lived) Rien and Ursa moved to Republic City where she built the tea-shop anew and is serving the same ol' popular tea as her Grandfather did.
